  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 (17 oz.) can fruit cocktail
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Mix flour, sugar, soda and salt.

    Drain fruit thoroughly.

    Combine with beaten egg.

    Add fruit mixture to flour mixture and stir until well blended.

    Batter should be smooth.

    Pour into an 8 x 8-inch pan.
