- 2 c. sifted flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 (1 lb. 1 oz.) can fruit cocktail, undrained
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. walnuts, chopped
Directions

1Sift together dry ingredients; then set aside.

2Beat eggs until light and add sugar gradually.

3Beat until light and fluffy. Add dry ingredients alternately with fruit cocktail.

4Mix until smooth after each addition.

5Spoon into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.

6Combine brown sugar and walnuts.

7Mix well and sprinkle over cake.

8Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.

9While still warm, spread with Walnut Topping.
