Fruit Cocktail Cake

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 can flaked coconut
- 1 stick butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1/2 can coconut
- 1 can fruit cocktail
Directions

1Mix the first 3 ingredients.

2Sift together flour, salt and baking soda.

3Blend in the fruit cocktail (undrained).

4Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch sheet pan and sprinkle with the coconut.

5Bake 45 minutes at 350°.

6Melt the butter and add 3/4 cup sugar and the evaporated milk. Boil 1 minute.

7Add the vanilla and 1/2 cup chopped nuts and 1/2 can coconut.

8Pour over cake while warm.
