- 2 egg whites
- 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 cup sour cream
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 can fruit cocktail, 15oz. each, very well drained.
Directions

1MERINGUE SHELL:

2preheat oven to 275

3in a small grease free bowl beat egg whites until foamy.

4add cream of tartar and beat until stiff.

5gradually add vanilla then gradually add sugar while beating constant.

6spoon meringue into 2 9inch pie pans.

7just enough so that it covers the bottom and the sides.

8(you will probably have some left over.

9bake for one hour then turn off oven and let meringue cool inside the oven.

10cool completely before going to next step.

11FILLING:

12combine sour cream, sugar and vanilla.

13mix well
-
14fold in the well drained fruit cocktail.

15spoon half the mix into each meringue shell.

16refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.

17makes 2 pies.

18keep pie refrigerated when not being eaten.

19this is a very sweet pie.
-
20if you don't like super sweet dont make it.. lol.
