- 1 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 20 red candied cherries
- 2 rings green candied pineapple
- 1 lb. dates, chopped
- 1 lb. coarsely chopped pecans (4 c.)
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. brandy or fruit juice
Directions

1Sift flour, salt and baking powder into bowl.

2Cut up fruits, dates and nuts into it; stir.

3Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored.

4Add sugar to yolks, then brandy and vanilla. Combine the two mixtures well.

5Last, fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
