  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 medium size can fruit cocktail
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

    Sift together the first 4 ingredients 4 times.

    Beat the egg. Add dry ingredients.

    Add fruit cocktail.

    Place mixture in a baking pan.

    Mix brown sugar and chopped nuts; spread over batter. Bake 1 hour at 325° in a 6 x 10 x 2-inch pan.
