  • 12 lb dried apricot
  • 14 lb candied fruit
  • 12 lb nuts
  • 1 12 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup jelly
  • 12 cup molasses
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon clove

    sprinkle with 1 cup flour

    measure remaining dry ingredients and sift

    line a large tube pan with brown paper well greased.

    cream butter real well

    add sugar and cream til real fluffy

    add jelly or molasses

    stir in egg yolks

    add liquid alternately with flour mixture

    add the frui/nuts mixture

    beat well.

    bake in slow oven 300 degrees for 3 hours.
