Ingredients

  • 3 c. chopped and peeled mixed candied fruit
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 c. chopped almonds
  • 1 c. chopped dates
  • 1 c. golden raisins
  • 1 c. soft margarine
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. honey
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg

Directions

    Combine first 5 ingredients; set aside.

    Cream margarine and sugar; beat well and add egg, lemon juice and vanilla.

    Combine flour with remaining dry ingredients.

    Add fruit mixture to creamed mixture; then add flour mixture and blend well.

    Fill midget baking cups 2/3 full and bake at 350° for 15 minutes.

    Store in tin boxes and freeze until ready to use.
