  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 (2 1/2-3 1/2 lb) corned beef brisket
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 14 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon finely shredded orange peel
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 2 teaspoons prepared mustard
  • 6 cabbage, wedges
