- 1 lb red cabbage, shredded
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 eating apple, peeled, cored & sliced
- 2 ounces sultanas
- salt
- fresh ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
Directions

1Layer the cabbage, onion, apple and sultanas in an ovenproof dish.

2Seasoning each layer with salt and pepper.

3Mix the vinegar and water together and sprinkle over.

4Cover with a piece of greasproof paper then the lid.

5Bake in a preheated oven at 350F/180C (160C fan oven) for 90 minutes until tender.

6Stir well before serving.

7Can be cooked at higher temperature for shorter time or lower temperature for longer time - depening on what else you are cooking at the same time.
