Ingredients

  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1 (4 oz.) can chopped mushrooms
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. parsley flakes
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 chicken, quartered
  • salt, black pepper and red pepper

    Melt oleo in saucepan on low heat.

    Add next 5 ingredients and simmer for 5 minutes.

    Fry unseasoned chicken in hot deep fat for 15 minutes.

    After chicken is cooked, season each piece and place in baking dish.

    Pour butter sauce over chicken.

    Bake, uncovered, at 325° for 45 to 60 minutes.

    Halfway through baking time, add mushrooms to chicken.

    Turn and baste several times until cooked.
