Ingredients

  • 5 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1 large can evaporated milk
  • 1 (8 oz.) jar marshmallow cream
  • 3 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate bits
  • 1 c. black walnuts
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Put marshmallow cream and vanilla in large bowl.

    Put chocolate bits, sugar, butter and milk in large saucepan and heat on low. Start stirring at once and continue stirring for 10 minutes after mixture starts boiling.

    Remove from heat; pour into container of marshmallow cream and stir vigorously.

    When cool, stir in nuts and pour into pans or platters that have been buttered.

    When cold, cut into squares.

    Makes 5 pounds.
