  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda in 1 c. buttermilk
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream oleo and sugar together.

    Add eggs and beat.

    Sift flour, cocoa and salt together.

    Add creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk and soda, then hot water and vanilla.

    Bake in greased and floured 8-inch cake pans at 350° for 45 minutes.
