  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Sift together flour and sugar.

    Mix margarine, cocoa and water in saucepan.

    Bring to a boil.

    Pour over flour and sugar mixture and stir until well mixed.

    Add buttermilk, eggs, soda and vanilla; mix well.

    Pour into greased and floured 9 x 14 pan.

    Bake at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes.
