- 2 c. Sugar
- 1/4 c. White Corn Syrup
- 1/2 c. Milk
- 1/2 c. Shortening
- 2 Squares Unsweetened Chocolate (2 oz.)
- 1/4 tsp. Salt
Directions

1Melt the shortening and chocolate over hot water or in microwave.

2Add the rest of the ingredients, stirring constantly, bring rapidly to a full boil.

3Boil to 220° or exactly one minute. Cool in a pan of ice water until lukewarm.

4Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla and beat until icing begins to lose its gloss and is a consistency to spread.
