  • 2 pie crusts
  • 3/4 c. oleo (1 1/2 sticks)
  • 4 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 1/4 c. hot water
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 10 1/2 oz. evaporated milk
  • 1 1/8 c. chopped pecans

Directions

    Melt oleo.

    Add cocoa and stir until dissolved.

    Add water; stir with wire whisk.

    In separate bowl mix thoroughly the sugar, flour and salt, then add to mixture.

    Stir until smooth.

    Before filling crust, heat mixture until dark.

    Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
