- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
- 1 small pkg. Bisquick pancake mix or 1 1/3 c.
Directions

1Beat egg; mix in other ingredients using a spoon; mix until smooth.

2Heat about 1/2 inch oil or shortening in a skillet. Holding your finger over the end of a funnel, fill funnel with 1/4 cup batter.

3Remove finger and move to make an open lacy pattern. Fry until golden brown, turning once.

4Drain on paper towel. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve warm.

5Yields 5 large cakes.
