- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. cooking oil
Directions

1Combine eggs and milk in mixing bowl.

2Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.

3Add to egg mixture; beat smooth with rotary beater.

4(Test mixture to see if it flows easily through funnel, if too thick, add milk; if too thin, add flour.)

5Heat oil to 360° in a 8-inch skillet.

6Covering bottom opening of funnel with finger, pour 1/2 cup batter into funnel.

7Remove end of the funnel close to the surface of the oil.

8Fry until golden, about 3 minutes, turn and cook 1 minute more.

9Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.

10Makes 4.
