- 2 eggs
- 1 1/3 c. milk
- 2 2/3 c. flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 qt. oil
- 2 c. powdered sugar
Directions

1In large mixer bowl, beat eggs and then add milk.

2In small bowl, sift together flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and soda. Add to egg mixture and beat until smooth.

3While mixing, heat oil in heavy pan to 375°.

4Holding finger over bottom of a funnel, pour batter into funnel.

5Remove finger and let batter pour into hot oil, swirling in circles from center outward and then drizzling just slightly over all so the cake holds together.

6Fry one at a time until golden brown, turning only once.

7Drain on paper towels.

8Dust with powdered sugar from sifter.

9Serve warm.
