Garlic-Artichoke Bread

  • all-purpose flour
  • 1 (6 oz.) jar marinated artichoke hearts
  • 1 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/4 tsp. each dried basil and oregano leaves
  • 1 loaf frozen white bread
  • 4 cloves garlic

    Chop artichokes and set aside marinade.

    On floured board, roll dough into 12 x 18-inch rectangle.

    Let rest 5 minutes. Brush half of the marinade over the dough.

    Sprinkle with artichokes, 1 cup cheese, garlic, basil and oregano.

    From long end, roll dough into a snug log. Pinch seam to seal. Brush log with marinade. Lightly cover with plastic wrap and set in warm place for 30 minutes.

    Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 15 minutes. Sprinkle top with remaining cheese. Bake 10 to 15 minutes longer. Slice thinly when cooled. Serve hot or cold.
