  • 2 cans (16 oz.) black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 4 to 6 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • salt to taste
  • optional spices:
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • dash cayenne
  • juice of 1 lemon

    Put all ingredients in a sauce pan and simmer for 30 minutes over medium low heat. Serve with salad and broun rice.
