- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1 1/4 tablespoons yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 7/8 cup wheat flour
- 1 5/8 cups flour
- salt
- 2/3 cup butter melted
- 2 garlic cloves peeled and minced
- dill
Directions

1Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius.

2Add the water, yeast, and sugar to a large bowl and mix well. Wait until the yeast has dissolved.

3Add the flours and 2 tablespoons of salt and mix again.

4Place the bowl in a warm spot and cover with a moist towel. Allow to rise for 1 1/2 hours.

5In another bowl, blend the butter, garlic, and a pinch of salt into a puree

6Turn out the dough on to a floured surface and knead by hand. Divide the dough into 2 portions.

7Roll out each one, using a rolling pin, to form rectangles.

8Spread with 3/4 of the garlic butter, saving a little aside for later.

9Roll up from the long edge of the rectangle, taking care to seal the edges to prevent the melted butter escaping.

10Place in a baguette pan and leave to rest for 1 hour covered with a moist towel at room temperature.

11Uncover the baguette; with a sharp knife make horizontal slits along the top of the dough and then sprinkle with flour.

12Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

13Remove immediately from the pan and leave to cool on a cooling rack.

14Set the oven's broiler on high.

15Cut the bread in slices, spread with the remaining garlic butter and sprinkle with dill.

16Broil for a minute or 2 and serve warm.
