- 5 c. flour, sifted (self-rising)
- 1 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 large clove garlic, minced
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 1 stick butter (use real butter, not oleo)
- 1 c. Crisco
- 2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water
Directions

1Cut Crisco into flour.

2Add buttermilk.

3Pour yeast in; mix well.

4Add cheese and garlic; mix well.

5Sift flour on plastic paper.

6Roll out dough and cut.

7Dip each biscuit in butter.

8Bake on ungreased cookie sheet.

9Preheat oven to 350°.

10Cook for 10 to 15 minutes, or until brown.
