- 35 to 40 cucumbers (small pickling cucumbers)
- 2 Tbsp. mixed pickle spices
- 1 Tbsp. dill seed
- 1 c. salt
- 1 c. white vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. white sugar
- 1 clove garlic (to taste) *
- 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
- 1 gal. water
Directions

1Wash and dry cucumbers.

2Place in crock with spices, except what is used to boil (for brine).

3Boil water, salt and vinegar. Let cool to room temperature, then pour over cucumbers.

4Let stand 2 to 4 weeks.
