- 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. celery salt
- 1 cut up boiler fryer, skinned
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- vegetable oil
Directions

1Combine first 6 ingredients; mix well.

2Place chicken in a shallow pan and pour buttermilk mixture over top.

3Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours or overnight.

4Remove chicken from liquid.

5Dredge chicken in flour.

6Heat 1-inch oil in a large skillet to 325°.

7Add chicken and fry 30 to 35 minutes, turning once.

8Drain chicken well on paper towels.

9Makes about 4 servings.
