- 2 c. long grain rice
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. Crisco
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tsp. salt
- 3 c. cold water
Directions

1Soak the rice in water (which has had 2 teaspoons salt added) for at least 4 hours.

2Strain and wash rice.

3Drain.

4Melt Crisco in pan.

5Thinly slice garlic.

6Add garlic, drained rice and 2 teaspoons salt to melted Crisco.

7When rice starts to stick to pan, add water.

8Cover when comes to a boil, turn down and simmer until water is absorbed, approximately 40 minutes.
