Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tsp. garlic, minced
- 4 c. fresh or frozen string beans, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1/2 tsp. dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp. sea salt
- fresh ground black pepper
- 2 tsp. or 1 cube vegetable bouillon
- 2 c. water
- squeeze of fresh lemon juice
Directions

1In large heavy saucepan, heat oil.

2Add garlic and beans and saute over high heat to sear beans, stirring frequently so they do not burn.

3Add thyme, sea salt and pepper to taste.

4Add water and vegetable bouillon.

5Bring to a boil; cover tightly.

6Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes or until beans are tender when pierced with tip of sharp knife.

7Add more water, if necessary.

8Frozen beans will take only half the time.

9Add squeeze of lemon juice and toss well.

10Serves 2.
