- 1/2 lb. smoked bacon, cut in pieces
- 1/2 c. celery, chopped
- 1 c. green peppers, chopped
- 1 large white onion, chopped
- 1/4 c. flour
- 4 cans stewed tomatoes
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- dash of Tabasco sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Fry bacon crisp; add celery, green peppers and onions.

2Cook until tender. Add flour and brown. Add enough water to make adequate gravy. Pour in tomatoes and season to taste.

3Simmer 30 minutes. Great over grits at a fish fry.
