  • 1 c. dark Karo syrup
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. whole or chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 ready to bake pie shell

Directions

    Beat eggs until foamy.

    Add sugar, syrup, melted butter and vanilla; beat until mixture thickens.

    Add nuts and pour into a pie shell.

    Bake for 10 minutes at 450°, then reduce heat to 325° and bake until filling is firm (approximately 35 to 40 minutes).
