  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. Crisco oil
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 c. thinly sliced and peeled cooking apples or 1 can Comstock pie-sliced apples (can use filling)
  • 1 c. nuts

Directions

    Beat first 3 ingredients until really frothy.

    Add sugar, 1 cup at a time, beating until thick and creamy.

    Add next 4 ingredients, then add apples or Comstock apples and nuts.

    Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.

    Cool.
