  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c. salad oil
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 5 c. peeled and thinly sliced apples

    Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon into a large bowl; set aside.

    Combine eggs, sugar, oil and vanilla into a large mixer bowl.

    Beat on low speed until well blended.

    Add dry ingredients, mixing until well blended.

    Fold in apples and walnuts.

    Spoon into a well-greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.

    Bake for 1 hour at 350° or until done (batter will be very thick).
