- 1 lb. navy beans
- shank ham bone with meat
- 2 c. tomato sauce (16 oz.)
- 2 Tbsp. minced parsley
- 1/2 c. diced potatoes
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 c. diced celery
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Cover beans with water and soak overnight.

2Drain, rinse and cover with fresh water.

3Add the ham bone and simmer until beans are soft.

4Skim off fat.

5Add remaining ingredients.

6Cook until vegetables are almost soft.

7Remove ham bone and return picked meat to soup.
