German Chocolate Pie

  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 4 oz. Baker's German's chocolate
  • 1 can Milnot
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 c. coconut
  • 1 1/2 c. pecans
  • 1 deep dish, unbaked pie shell

Directions

    Over low heat, melt butter and chocolate.

    Turn off heat and add Milnot and eggs; stir well.

    Add salt, sugar, vanilla and cornstarch until smooth, then add coconut and pecans.

    Pour into unbaked pie shell.

    Bake at 350° for 40 to 55 minutes.

    This will make 2 regular pies or 1 deep dish.
