  • 1 stick margarine, softened
  • 1 large can Carnation evaporated milk
  • 2 c. Baker's coconut
  • 3 c. granulated sugar
  • 7 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. pecans, chopped
  • pinch of salt

Directions

    Mix sugar, salt and cocoa; sift.

    Add eggs, one at a time, and mix well.

    Stir in vanilla, milk, margarine, coconut and pecans.

    Pour in 2 deep-dish pie shells or 3 shallow pie shells. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until brown and firm when you shake.
