- 4 ounces German chocolate
- 14 cup butter
- 1 12 cups sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 18 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 12 cups evaporated milk
- 10 inches uncooked pie crusts
- 1 13 cups shreddeed coconut
- 12 cup chopped pecans
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

2In microwave, or in sauce pan on stove, melt chocolate and butter on a low setting in a medium-size microwave-safe bowl.

3Stir several times during melting process to prevent burning.

4When chocolate is melted, stir in sugar, salt, vanilla, cornstarch and eggs(beaten) until well blended.

5Stir in evaporated milk until smooth.

6Pour into pie shell.

7Mix coconut and pecans together.

8Sprinkle them evenly over the chocolate mixture.

9Use a knife to cut through the coconut into the chocolate mixture in several places.

10Bake 45 to 50 minutes, or until center is set.
