  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 12 teaspoon allspice
  • 12 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 12 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 23 cup cherry preserves
  • 23 cup apricot preserves
  • 23 cup pineapple preserves
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 12 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Cream together: butter, sugar and eggs.

    Sift together: flour and spices.

    Add baking soda to buttermilk.

    Add flour mixture to egg mixture a little at a time, alternating with buttermilk until well mixed.
