  • 6 cups apples peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1 package cake mix, german chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup butter softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup nuts
  • 3 ounces cream cheese
  • 4 tablespoons butter softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar

    Preheat oven to 350F (180C).

    Grease lightly a 13x9 inch pan.

    Layer 1/2 apples evenly in pan.

    In large bowl, mix dry cake mix, cinnamon, water, butter, and eggs on low until smooth.

    Stir in nuts.

    Pour 1/2 batter evenly over apples and repeat layers.

    Bake for 40 to 50 min.
