German Potato Dumpling

- 8 medium size potatoes (3 lb.)
- 2 medium size onions (slice, saute in 2 Tbsp. oil)
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 lb. Swiss or Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Boil potatoes until fork pokes through.

2Peel and mash while hot!

3Add salt and flour to form patties 1/2-inch thick.

4Cook patties in boiling water for 5 minutes.

5Drain and place in 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan and layer with cheese and onion.

6Bake at 325° for 1 hour.
