- 1 large onion, sliced thin
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 1/2 c. salad oil
- 1 tsp. prepared mustard
- 1 tsp. sugar
Directions

1Alternate layers of cabbage and onion.

2Sprinkle sugar over the top of mixture immediately.

3Mix remaining ingredients.

4Boil 1 minute.

5Pour over cabbage mixture immediately.

6Stir to blend. Cover and refrigerate for at least four hours before serving. Will keep in refrigerator for several days.
