German Stuffed Peppers

- 1 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1/2 lb ground veal
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 cup brown rice
- 5 large (green) bell peppers
- 16 oz crushed tomato paste
- 1 cup sauerkrautt
Directions

1Cook rice halfway

2Mix meat, onion, rice.

3Add salt/pepper to taste

4Cut off top and clean out inside of peppers, hard boil peppers for 5 minutes and remove

5Mix meat and rice

6Stuff the meat mixture as tightly as possible into the peppers

7Spread sauerkraut on bottom of a baking dish

8Put peppers in dish, pour in crushed tomato paste about halfway up the peppers

9Bake between 90 minutes to 2 hours at 325F Fahrenheit
