German Style Pork Chops

- 6 to 8 pork chops
- 1 c. flour (cornstarch and/or extra flour to thicken)
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix
- 1 (8 oz.) beer (preferably German style)
- 4 c. water
- salt and pepper to taste
- butter to saute chops
Directions

1Mix flour, salt, pepper and bread pork chops, then saute in skillet with butter to slightly brown both sides (1 to 2 minutes). In large pot, add water, soup mix, onion and beer.

2Bring to simmer.

3Then add breaded pork chops.

4Simmer on low for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

5Thicken with flour or cornstarch and serve over rice or noodles.
