- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 5 eggs
- 2 tsp. lemon extract
- 3 c. cake flour
- 1 (6 oz.) bottle ginger ale
Directions

1Cream the sugar, margarine and shortening.

2Add eggs, one at a time and beat.

3Add lemon extract.

4Add flour alternately with ginger ale.

5Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 325° for 1 hour.

6Yields one 10-inch cake.
