  • 1 c. syrup
  • 1 c. shortening
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 3 eggs
  • ginger to taste
  • 1 c. flour (more if needed)

    Beat syrup and soda together.

    Pour into flour and work to a stiff dough.

    Roll out and cut as desired.

    Put on cookie sheet and cook to a golden brown.
