- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. shortening (lard)
- 1 c. baking molasses
- 1 1/2 c. sour milk
- 3 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 tsp. soda
- flour to stiffen
Directions

1Cream eggs, sugar, shortening and molasses.

2Add soda to sour milk and add to creamed mixture.

3Add enough flour to roll nice, but do not roll too thin.

4Cut into favorite shapes with cookie cutter.

5Bake at 375° to 400°.
