  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. dark molasses
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. sour milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

    Cream sugar and shortening together.

    Add egg; mix in flour, soda, spices and sour milk.

    Bake at 350° in small pan until toothpick comes out clean.

    Use a buttercream icing.
