- 1 3/4 cups flour, all-purpose
- 2 teaspoons baking powder double-acting
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter cut into bits
- 1/4 pound ginger root peeled, chopped
- 1/2 cup brown sugar firmly packed
- 1 cup walnuts finely
- 1/2 cup milk
Directions
