  • 1/2 cup butter cut into bits
  • 1/4 pound ginger root peeled, chopped
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar firmly packed
  • 1 cup walnuts finely
  • 1/2 cup milk

    Drop the dough by rounded tablespoons onto an unbuttered baking sheet and bake the biscuits in the middle of a preheated 425 degrees F. oven for 15 to 17 minutes, or until they are golden.
