  • 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 c. molasses
  • 1/4 c. melted fat

    Add milk to beaten egg. Pour into dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
