- 4 eggs
- 1 stick butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 4 Tbsp. ginger
- 1 Tbsp. allspice
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Melt molasses and butter together; stir in sugar until dissolved.

3Cool.

4Mix with a wooden spoon flour, baking powder, spices and eggs.

5Add to cooled mixture, beating well.

6Pour into an 8 x 8-inch pan and bake 50 to 60 minutes.
