  • 1 c. margarine, melted
  • 2 c. molasses
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 3 tsp. soda added to 2 tsp. sour milk
  • 4 c. plus 1 Tbsp. flour

    Mix all ingredients except flour.

    Sift flour before measuring.

    Then add to other ingredients.

    Fill 2 x 10 x 14-inch deep pan which has been well-greased and floured, half full.

    Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour at 325°.

    Serve with lemon sauce or lemon flavored frosting.
