- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tbl golden syrup
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tbl ginger
- 1 tsp allspice
Directions

1Preheat over to 350F. In small saucepan, combine the butter, sugar, syrup and milk. Bring to boil, then remove from heat, set aside. In large bowl, sift the flour, baking soda, ginger and allspice. Stir in the boiling mix until blended. Pour into a greased and floured loaf pan. Reduce over heat to 325F and bake for 1 hour, until the top of the loaf springs back when lightly touched.
